SLIDING ON THE DUFFERIN TERRACE

Toboggan Slide Au 1884  is just steps from Château Frontenac on the Dufferin Terrace. Get an adrenalin rush as you dash down one of three toboggan lanes at speeds of up to 70 kilometres an hour.

SNOWSHOEING
Outdoor enthusiasts can’t get enough of snowshoeing. Strap on a pair of traditional rawhide snowshoes or some more modern equipment and get set for adventure—the Québec City Area has hundreds of kilometres of marked trails for you to explore.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The Québec City region boasts outstanding snow cover, magnificent scenery, and first-rate trails, plus the province’s highest concentration of cross-country ski areas for both classic and skate skiing. Get ready for the cross-country skiing adventure of a lifetime!

QUÉBEC WINTER CARNIVAL
Come experience one of the world's largest winter carnivals in beautiful Québec City. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to the Québec Winter Carnival to enjoy a host of activities for all ages, including night parades, snow sculptures, shows, and skating. Bonhomme Carnaval is the ambassador of this winter celebration. The Carnival is a unique winter experience you won't want to miss!

PETIT-CHAMPLAIN

MUSEUMS
Several museums can be visited in Québec City. Among them, here are a few that we strongly recommand :

PLAINS OF ABRAHAM MUSEUM : The Plains of Abraham Museum is the park's information and reception centre of the Battlefields park. It offers permanent and temporary exhibitions, guided tours, and a wealth of information about the Canada's first national historic park which welcomes some 4 million visitors each year. Moreover you will discover at the Plains of Abraham Museum the new Battles 1759-1760 exhibition and Traces exhibition Listening to remants.

MUSÉE DE LA CIVILISATION : (Photo above) The most popular museum in Québec City. A visitor-oriented museum with a participatory and interactive approach for stimulating wonderment and encouraging discovery. Magnificent exhibits of international calibre about Québec culture and history. Take part in the family workshops on current, historical or sometimes unusual topics. Guided tours available for some exhibits. 

MUSÉE DE L'AMÉRIQUE FRANCOPHONE : Just a few steps from the Holy Door, discover Musée de l'Amérique francophone. Admire a chapel filled with history, precious relics, and other treasures of Québec's religious heritage from the Séminaire de Québec collection. Set in the heart of Old Québec, Musée de l'Amérique francophone is an essential cultural activity for history lovers. The Museum offers exhibitions on the colonial history of America, the evolution of Francophone culture in North America and abroad, and the effervescence of arts and crafts in Québec. Musée de l’Amérique francophone is part of the Musée de la civilisation complex in Québec City.
